Welcome to the Barony of the Angels

The Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA) is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events that feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes and workshops, and more.

The Barony of the Angels, the oldest Barony in the Kingdom of Caid, covers a major portion of Southern California. Please click here for details about the specific areas that lie within the Barony's borders.

In addition to the information on this site, the Barony sustains two email lists, one via the Kingdom Crier Angels Baronial and one via Yahoo AngelsBaronial. They are not connected, so you would need to subscribe to both. We apologize for this inconvenience. At some point in early 2013, these two lists will be consolidated but rest assured, there will be plenty of notice regarding the change. In the meantime, you may wish to communicate with Baronial members and friends by visiting the Baronial Facebook page. While no official business is conducted on the Facebook page, it's a great place to get information and chat with other SCA folk.

You are also encouraged to attend the Barony's regular activities including the monthly Council meeting (SCA garb not required) held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Please visit the Baronial Calendar for details.
