Queen's Champion and Baronial Investiture

Mark your calendars and come join us on January 14, 2012 as the Barony of the Angels hosts Her Majesty's Queen's Champion Armored Combat, Rapier and Youth Combat at Crescenta Valley Park, La Crescenta, CA. As many of you know, Her Majesty's QC was rained out the day following Coronation. So that Her Majesty's Champions may serve during as much of Her reign as possible, the Barony of the Angels is honored to host Queen's Champion in place of its annual Melee Tourney - Angels' Melee will return next year.

Queen's Champion Tourney will follow standard tourney rules for armored combat, rapier and youth combat.

Schedule
7:00 am Site opens
9:00 am Lists open
9:30 am Opening Court and Investiture of Angels' 12th Baron and 11th Baroness
(NOTE the early start time due to the Investiture)
Lists Close 15 minutes after court
11:00 am Fighting starts
4:00 pm Closing Court
6:00 pm Everyone must be off the site

Due to time restraints a Presentation Court for Baron John and Baroness Flavia and the new Baron and Baroness will be held following Opening Court in the Angels' Baronial Pavilion. Please contact if you have a presentation.

Scribal activities are planned, weather permitting.

Merchants are welcome! Please contact to reserve your space. Remember that 10 percent of your gross profit must be given to the County of Los Angeles.

Eric reservations are open now and will remain open until January 10. Please send eric requests to .

We are limited to 8 cars at a time on the site, so please unload and load quickly and follow instructions as given by the Constabulary.

Per L.A. County regulations we must "truck our trash" out of the site. Trash bags will be passed out as you enter the site.

Pets must be on a leash. This is a DRY SITE. There is NO SMOKING on the site. You must go all the way out onto the sidewalk to smoke! (This is a State law, per L.A. County Parks and Rec.)

Site: Crescenta Valley Park, 3901 Dunsmore Avenue, La Crescenta, California 91214.

Site Fee: $7.00; non-member surcharge is $5.00. Children under 5 are guests of the Barony. Please make checks payable to "SCA Inc. / Barony of the Angels"

Directions. Take your favorite freeway to the 210 Fwy. Exit at Pennsylvania Avenue. From the West, turn right onto Pennsylvania. From the East, turn left onto Pennsylvania. Turn right at Honolulu. Turn left at Dunsmore and you're there!
